Here is a snapshot of steps to purchasing property in Mexico
   
  1. Use a professional Real Estate Agent (member of NAR or AMPI) with knowledge of the area. There are different states in Mexico where different rules apply.
     
  2. Get educated by a professional who can walk through the process before any contracts are written.
     
  3. Talk to a 'Notario Publico' before hand. 'Notario Publicos' are the only authority appointed by the government to deed property. They are a neutral third party and explain in detail what the contract means to both the buyer and the seller.
